Manufacturing Day 2020 – Virtual Factory Tour Edition

Join us on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, as we celebrate National Manufacturing Day with virtual tours and conversations about cleantech and clean energy manufacturing. PowerAmerica Executive Director Victor Veliadis will moderate a panel discussion, PowerAmerica member Atom Power will serve as a panel participant, and PowerAmerica affiliate organization the Freedm Systems Center at NC State University will give a tour of their lab facilities.

North Carolina is home to many organizations leading the development and production of technologies which are transforming the energy industry. For example, NC State University’s FREEDM Systems Center leverages its high bay laboratory and other unique facilities to help researchers and industry partners develop and test new products while PowerSecure’s campus in Durham, NC is leveraged to design, manufacture, test and deploy state-of-the-art microgrids.
Participants will have the option to join a breakout room for a virtual tour of FREEDM Systems Center or PowerSecure’s campus in Durham followed by a brief panel discussing the unique strengths and opportunities of clean energy and cleantech manufacturing in NC.
