The event brings\u00a0together designers and manufacturers to address the future of integrated power\u00a0electronics and advance the 3D power electronics systems designs of the future.<\/p>\n<p>The 3D-PEIM Symposium kicks off on Monday morning, June 13<span class=\"s2\">th<\/span>, with a series of\u00a0tutorials dealing with \u201cThe World of Packaging Technologies and Critical Issues\u201d.\u00a0Sessions will then continue over three days covering manufacturing techniques,\u00a0modeling and simulation, materials, passive components, and quality and reliability.<\/p>\n<p>The 2+ hour evening receptions on Monday and Tuesday provide opportunities for\u00a0networking and discussions with the Dialogue Presenters and Vendors displaying\u00a0their latest technologies.<\/p>\n<p>The 3D-PEIM symposium is underwritten by the Power Sources Manufacturers\u00a0Association <span class=\"s1\">(PSMA) <\/span>and is supported by: the International Microelectronics\u00a0Assembly and Packaging Society <span class=\"s1\">(IMAPS)<\/span>; the IEEE Components, Packaging and\u00a0Manufacturing Technology Society <span class=\"s1\">(CPMT)<\/span>; North Carolina State University; the\u00a0University of Maryland; and Virginia Tech.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis symposium is all about electrical-physical design and the manufacturing of\u00a0power sources,\u201d said Doug Hopkins, PhD., Professor of Electrical Engineering at NC\u00a0State and Chairman of 3D-PEIM. \u201cSince we expect nearly everyone will have an\u00a0interest in \u2018physical\u2019 circuits, we\u2019re offering both dialogue and lecture speakers the\u00a0opportunity to display their hardware during the breaks and receptions.\u201d According to\u00a0Hopkins, the symposium also offers tutorials to provide \u201cbackground and insight into\u00a0many of the traditional physical design approaches and technologies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For more information please <a href=\"http:\/\/www.3d-peim.org\/\">click here!<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first International Symposium on 3D Power\u00a0Electronics Integration and Manufacturing (www.3D-PEIM.org), to be held June 13-15, 2016, in Raleigh, North Carolina, is now open for registration.
