Megan Morin, PowerAmerica\u2019s Education and Workforce Development Program graduate assistant and N.C. State P.h.D. student\u00a0in technology, engineering and design education, has been recognized for her outstanding performance in her work for PowerAmerica and the FREEDM Systems Center at N.C. State. Morin\u00a0will accept the Donald Maley Spirit of Excellence Outstanding Graduate Student Citation from the Foundation for Technology and Engineering Education during the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA) conference next month in Atlanta. The award recognizes excellence in graduate-level scholarship and leadership potential.<\/p>\n

“I recognized Megan’s talents when she was pursuing her master’s degree in technology engineering design education. I’m observing her become a leader in this field at a national level, and I’m thrilled she’s receiving this well-deserved recognition,” said Pam Carpenter, PowerAmerica’s Director of Education and Workforce Development.<\/p>\n

At PowerAmerica, Morin assists with the Undergraduate Research Scholars and graduate programs, as well as program logistics and outreach.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Morin\u00a0is one of only six people nationwide to be accepted into next year\u2019s ITEEA’s 21st Century Leadership Academy<\/a>. The Academy aims to help technology and engineering educators gain additional skills to become leaders in their profession.
