The Power Electronics Industry Collaborative<\/a> (PEIC) has announced that Wolfspeed<\/a>, a Cree Company, will join the speaker lineup at its annual meeting, which will take place on September 25 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the 2018 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress & Exposition<\/a> (ECCE) in Portland, Oregon. The event, which is open to all ECCE 2018 attendees, will include Edgar Ayerbe, Wolfspeed\u2019s senior product manager for Power Products, as one of the featured speakers to provide Wolfspeed\u2019s perspective of the power semiconductor industry and how the company is rising to meet growing global power needs with silicon carbide. Other featured speakers include Ali Husain, senior manager of Corporate Marketing & Strategy at ON Semiconductor<\/a>, and Victor Veliadis, deputy executive director & CTO at PowerAmerica Institute<\/a>.<\/p>\n PEIC is a national industry-focused, member-based consortium comprised of power electronics OEMs, research organizations, educational institutions, and other stakeholders working to promote industry investment, build a more innovative workforce, and strengthen the supply chain.<\/p>\n Traditionally, PEIC\u2019s member meetings are open to prospective members and other interested industry stakeholders. These events enable member and affiliate organizations to share their latest technology news, network with colleagues, and provide a forum to discuss PEIC\u2019s annual workplan. Speakers will also present their ideas in a dynamic panel discussion format, moderated by David Morrison, editor of How2Power.
