Dr. Taylor earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, where he focused on wide bandgap power electronics and their applications in grid modernization, renewable energy, and data centers. Dr. Taylor then joined the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Electricity, where he supported research programs in grid modernization. Dr. Taylor has spent the last decade as a consultant in the energy sector, working with industry and government to advance R&D efforts, improve manufacturing processes, and commercialize innovative technologies.
